Margaret- This is a great post! So few people go out of their way to actively include others & when people do, it’s such a kindness that is remembered forever. Your “40 things” writing prompt is inspiring me to make my own list. So far I only have 15 things, but one is kind of similar to this post, which is “Always say hi to people by name if you can. It creates a welcoming space.” Loving your blog so far!! ❤️
Just curious…will I be crying like this every week?
Awww! Thanks!
My mom used to always say the same thing to me!
Oh love that!!! Thanks for reading Lael!

Love that you’re making your list!!! And yes, love the importance of knowing one’s name! Love it!!!!!
Margaret, this is such an insightful and thoughtful entry. And, it reminds me of a favorite Silent Sermon card handed out by Dr. Turner:
"He drew a circle that shut me out,
Heretic, rebel a thing to flout:
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle and took him in." Edwin Markham
such an important lesson to widen the circle--thank you for sharing your compassion and wisdom.
Ok I’m balling ….
Well thanks for the learning! Sometimes small sentences make big impacts!
